Hello 4-H Families in Waupaca County,

We hope you are all doing well.  You have hopefully been getting the blast emails from the State 4-H Office as well as specific ones from Waupaca County concerning updates and cancellations, etc.  Another good place to look for this information is on our website at https://waupaca.extension.wisc.edu/ or follow our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Waupaca-County-4-H-497545503725584/
We understand families are receiving a ton of emails from all different sources including school, community events, and so much more.  Occasionally we will be posting on facebook and our website some fun activities families can do together from 4-H curriculum and other sources.  Feel free to check these out soon or in a few weeks.  We are also considering an activity packet that could be mailed to families with some 4-H project ideas since we also know some internet connectivity is challenging across the county.  In addition, our office is working on posting the word version of record book pages to our website for those of you who may want to take time to start on record books.  The fillable forms will be posted later as we are able to get them updated.
Please feel free to share feedback for these ideas, we want to hear from you as to what may be helpful or beneficial for our members.
As for cancellations and changes next week:
  • The March 4-H Leaders’ Association meeting scheduled for March 24 has been cancelled.
  • Please watch for more information regarding an alternative way of still having the 4-H Music, Drama, and Speaking Contest, that is usually held in April.
  • For new volunteers, there are some counties that have worked with online versions of VIP leader training and I will send information directly to new volunteer leaders when I know more about this option.
  • New Family Night was scheduled for March 23 and I am now offering this as a zoom videoconferencing or call in meeting if families still want to check in and learn a bit more about 4-H.  Please see below for the link to log in on a computer or laptop, mobile device or call in the phone number listed (please note this is not a toll free number).
