Tips for delivering 4-H through technology and ‘how to’ videos for volunteers to create their own zoom accounts, for free.
On the statewide Town Hall meeting on 4-14-20, it was shared with us that there is now information on the state 4-H website with tips for delivering 4-H through technology and ‘how to’ videos for volunteers to create their own zoom accounts, for free. The free zoom account allows you to have meetings up to 40 minutes and up to 100 lines connected. (If you do get cut off at 40 minutes, everybody can hang up and call back in again). You may have been hearing about zoom on the news and there are some safety features that the tip sheet and how to videos share to prevent “zoombombers” (people coming on the zoom that do not belong). Here is the link to this information https://fyi.extension.wisc.edu/wi4hvolunteers/delivering-4-h-through-technology/
Zoom is the platform that Extension adopted a while ago for our distance learning and meeting abilities. If you would like me to help set anything up or be on a meeting zoom that you try creating just let me know. If you are not comfortable with trying technology in this format, that is ok, I do just encourage you to stay in touch with families at least occasionally in whatever way is most comfortable for you.
Thank you, Penny
